SCS 2011 Rogue Rock Gym

This past weekend a handful of the team headed south to Medford for the Rogue Rock Gyms SCS competition. The Medford comp gets better and better every year with new holds, themes (this one was the 80's), and is always well organized. It's great to see some of the Portland teams like the MAC and Clubsport make the trip down showing that the Rogue comp is worth the drive. The Bend team climbed well this weekend and had a 1st place finish in each of the categories we had a competitor in. Tristan (MYB) racked up enough points for 1st overall while Lukas (MYD) was right on his heels and finished 2nd overall.

SCS 2011 Stoneworks Competition.

It seems like just yesterday we were in Boulder for bouldering nationals and already we're a month and a half away from the SCS Regional Championships!  Time flies when you're training hard I guess.  The Bend Climbing Team had four climbers leave the sun and warmth of Bend and head to Beaverton for a  comp at Stoneworks.  Stoneworks can feel crowed and small when you cram tons of climbers inside they always seem to manage it well and pull off a good comp.
